Her life starts to go out of control after she befriends Emily Furness (Rachel Shenton, “All Creatures Great and Small”), a charming stranger she meets on the school playground. Rob, Laura’s spouse, is frequently deployed overseas, leaving Laura under pressure to care for their son on her own and balance going back to work.

Laura sees Emily as a true savior—beautiful and always helpful. But nothing is as it seems… Unaware that Emily is slowly poisoning Laura’s life from the inside out, Laura finds herself on an increasingly hazardous path. However, why?

This season’s homicides capture the eccentric spirit of New Zealand’s deadliest town, with tales ranging from a vicious murder with a Jurassic twist to a creepy crime scene amid the Day of the Dead, a lovesick dentist, and a vicious visit to a House of Horrors.

In order to escape and return to their lives in Toronto, William Murdoch and Julia Ogden must race to uncover the true motivations of their enigmatic captors at the start of the new season.
