The top ten hospitals in Australia are listed in this article by KnowInsiders, which is based on ratings from Newsweek, Australiaunwrapped.com, and Health Care Channel.

Hospitals provide care to a large number of Australians annually, and they are an important component of the nation’s healthcare system. Patients who are not admitted (for “elective” treatment or non-emergency purposes) as well as those who are admitted receive care (via emergency rooms and outpatient clinics).

Melbourne has a world-class children’s hospital, and that’s a huge blessing. I could not have asked for better care for my son; the entire staff, from the doctors to the nurses, are so compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled.

There is a palpable sense of kindness and humor amongst the staff, which goes a long way toward ameliorating what is, unfortunately, a rather unpleasant experience for everyone involved, including the kids and their caregivers.
