How ChatGPT Plus Technology is ‘Free’ to Use.

Copilot is accessible as an app for Windows 10, Windows 11, 365, Android, and iOS. This virtual assistant, like ChatGPT, employs the GPT-3.5 model by default. Users can also enable GPT-4 mode, however the response time may be slower as a result.

Meanwhile, Tom’s Guide reports that Microsoft silently modified Copilot to use the GPT-4 Turbo model. Although the business made no official disclosure, several experts believe Copilot’s source code is related to OpenAI’s most powerful large language model (LLM).

The GPT-4 Turbo differs from prior models in that the data is updated to April 2023 rather than September 2021 as in GPT3.5, and it has a 128k “context window” memory comparable to 300 pages of text rather than 100 pages of text. Furthermore, the ability to interpret visuals and reason is enhanced.

According to Tom’s Guide, by integrating GPT-4 Turbo to Copilot, Microsoft is providing customers with free access to ChatGPT Plus, which is supplied by OpenAI for $20 per month. GPT-4 Turbo is only available to those who enable GPT-4 mode on Copilot.

Microsoft has not responded to this. Previously, the corporation stated that its AI helper “will be regularly upgraded.” On January 11, the company stated that it was testing a feature that would allow Copilot to open automatically whenever the user started Windows. This capability is first available on large screen devices with screens larger than 27 inches. Furthermore, the Copilot key will be added to the computer, replacing the Menu key on ordinary keyboards.
