But the princess found out about his schemes and executed him. Enraged by the turn of events, he cursed the town to eternal misery and the palace to doom before he passed away. You should visit the fort at your own risk because the locals around here think that anyone who enters after dark won’t return.
This town, which is 20 km from Jaisalmer, is renowned for being among India’s most haunted locations. There once lived a Paliwal Brahmin community in this prosperous village, but they left it over night. According to legend, the daughter of the village chief caught the attention of Jaisalmer State’s prime minister. The chief, however, was against the match. He countered by threatening to tax them heavily. As a result, everyone in the village packed their bags and moved out. The village is still deserted. Only during the day are visitors permitted.
